BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. The value of goods and services in the industrial sector of Baku amounted to 75.2 billion manat ($44.2 million) in 2022, Trend reports via the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the statistics department, the mining industry accounted for 85.2 percent, the processing industry - 12.8 percent, the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam – 1.5 percent, and water supply, purification, and waste processing - 0.5 percent.
The share of the private sector in the industrial field was 90.4 percent.
Besides, the share of industrial products in total output was 94.8 percent, and industrial services accounted for 5.2 percent.
As of January 1, 2023, supplies of finished goods worth 466.9 million manat ($274.6 million) were stored in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
The warehouses of industrial enterprises also contained other products worth 55.5 million manat ($32.6 million) purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan produced products worth 86 billion manat ($50.5 billion) in 2022, which is 1.1 percent less than in the same period in 2021.
The value of Baku's trade turnover increased by 5 percent and totaled 30.81 billion manat ($18.1 billion) in 2022 compared to 2021.
