BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. The North Caucasus Interregional Directorate of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) has controlled the import of 147,820 tons of hazelnuts from Azerbaijan to the territory of Stavropol since the beginning of 2023, Trend reports.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, only 93,400 tons of hazelnuts were delivered during the same period in 2022.
Thus, the export of hazelnuts from Azerbaijan to Stavropol increased by 58 percent, or 54,400 tons.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported hazelnuts to the world market in the amount of $106 million in 2022, which is $2 million (2 percent) less in comparison with 2021.
