BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 27. The number of concluded mortgage agreements in Azerbaijan has been named, Trend reports.
The data of the State Service on Property Issues under Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy shows that 61,393 mortgage agreements on real estate were registered in Azerbaijan from January through September 2023, which is 10,046 or 19.6 percent more year-on-year.
Mortgage contracts for 35,248 apartments were concluded from January through September 2023. Among the total number of mortgaged properties, 11,921 are land plots and 8,768 are private residential houses.
The majority of mortgage agreements on real estate properties are concluded in Baku. Thus, 32,484 mortgage agreements were concluded in Baku from January through September 2023, which is 52.9 percent of the total indicator across entire Azerbaijan.
The data of the State Service shows that a total of 8,427 contracts were concluded in Absheron territorial department, 3,318 in Sumgayit, 3,000 in Khachmaz and 2,722 in Ganja, which is considered as one of economic activity indicators in these regions.
