Azerbaijan announces customs-flown gains to state budget

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) increased by 6.52 percent in January 2024 year on year, Trend reports.

The SCC data showed that this figure exceeded 473.7 million manat ($278.6 million).

Revenues from customs duties to the state budget in the reporting month grew by 12.32 percent (15 million manat or $8.8 million) compared to the same month last year and amounted to 136.95 million manat ($80.56 million).

The value-added tax (VAT) revenues equaled 314.8 million manat, or $185 million (13.86 percent less than in January 2023), excise tax revenues were 18.5 million manat, or $10.88 million (24.7 percent more), and road tax revenues were 3.39 million manat, or $1.99 million (23.68 percent less).

To note, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the SCC last year increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022 - to 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion).

In 2022, this figure rose by 30.21 percent year on year to 5.65 billion manat ($3.3 billion).
