New benefits will be provided for the production of building materials in Uzbekistan starting from July 1, Trend reports citing Lex.uz, national database of legislation of Uzbekistan.
According to the information, despite the fact that over the past four years the volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan increased by 23 percent, most of the explored deposits of expanded clay, silicate sand, glass raw materials, building and facing stones remain undeveloped.
It is reported that in the domestic market, the share of domestic products for sanitary facilities accounts only for 40 percent, aerated concrete blocks - 51 percent, paints and varnishes - 65 percent, building glass - 70 percent, wall wallpaper - 30 percent.
Thus, starting from July 1, entrepreneurs involved in projects for the production of building materials according to the list (14 items) are provided with loan guarantees up to 50 percent, but not more than 15 billion soums ($1.4 million).
In addition, entrepreneurs will be provided with compensation to cover the costs of purchasing test laboratory equipment and the implementation of international quality management standards.
