The 2008 budget provided 76.5 million manats for more than 652,000 physical and legal entities, dealing with agricultural production, fuel and motor oil utilized by them, privilege purchase of fertilizers and each sowing hectare of grain and rice, said the Finance Minister Samir Sharifov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, dedicated to the social and economic results of 2008, which was held under the chairmanship of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
"As a result of financial aid of state,
planted area and productivity in the agriculture considerably increased," said
Sharifov.
Last year the budget provided 80 million manats for the National Fund
Entrepreneurship Development, 40 million manat for Aqrolizinq JSC, 5 million
manats for State Agency on Agricultural Credits.
Furthermore, the Reserve Fund provided 25 million manats for purchase of
thoroughbred cattle and mineral fertilizers, 50 million manats for measures on
food security, said Sharifov.
