The delegation of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents headed by the Chairman, Ramiz Hasanov, will attend the Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the committee said on Sept.15.
"The Assembly will be held in Geneva on Sept.22- Oct.1," the committee added.
During the event, Hasanov will meet with the WIPO Director General, Francis Gurry. During the meeting, the parties will discuss the issues to improve cooperation in the field of patents, to establish the Training Center, to complete the process of automation system to find information and to consider a possible visit of the WIPO Director General to Azerbaijan.
Senior staff's conference on "The role of intellectual property in the settlement of global processes in the world" also will be held during the Assembly.
In addition, Hasanov will hold meetings with the heads of Organizations on Patent of the Central Europe and the Turkish-speaking countries to discuss the prospects of cooperation.
