A program has been designed to bring the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran to $ 10 billion, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagher Bahrami told Trend.
"This plan will be discussed at various meetings of officials of the two countries. We have set the task to achieve this goal," diplomat said
The volume of trade between Azerbaijan and Iran in 2009 hits $ 543 million. Iran exported goods worth worth $ 372 million to Azerbaijan. Goods worth $ 171 million were imported from Azerbaijan. Apples, potatoes, cement are imported from Iran to Azerbaijan. Building materials, motor oil, iron and steel are exported from Azerbaijan to Iran.
