Turkish customs’ database may be destroyed by cyber attack

Business Materials 7 February 2011 15:58 (UTC +04:00)

A cyber attack may be a reason for the collapse of the Turkish customs' central database last week, the Zaman newspaper quoted Turkish State Minister Hayati Yazici as saying on Monday.

The entire Turkish customs points have been closed for two days on Feb.1-2 due to a collapse of the customs system's central database in Ankara.

Yazici said it is planned to simulate the cyber attack to test the security system of the Turkish customs.
