Only 44,329 cars were registered in Turkey in October 2011 which is1513 units less than the same time last year, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report, published on its official website, says.
As against September 2011, the number of cars rose by 4778 units, from 39,551 units. As of January-October 2011, the number of registered cars reached 464,980 units.
During 2011 the biggest number of cars were registered in January, which was 91,977 against the smallest in April, 35,252 units.
In October 2011 the number of cars taken off the register was 2248 which is 727 less than in October 2010.
In January-October 2011 the number of cars taken off the register was 27,264 units.
