About 59.712 million tons of cargo (a 8.37 percent increase compared to 2010) was transported in Azerbaijan, SCC of Azerbaijan told.
Exports of goods during this period amounted to 34.703 million tons, imports - 9.107 million tons.
Some 320.417 tons of cargo were exported by maritime transport, 3.327 million tons by the railway, 518.678 tons by motor transport, 602.582 by air, 29.928 million tons by stationary vehicles.
Some 1.305 million tons of cargo was imported by maritime transport, 5.842 million tons by railway, 1.889 million tons by motor transport, 24.1 thousand tons of cargo by air.
Some 15.903 million tons of cargo was transited through the territory of Azerbaijan in 2011.
