The national air carrier of Kazakhstan "Air Astana" purchases Boeing 767 and Boeing 787 aircrafts, the company said on Friday.

The national air carrier of Kazakhstan Air Astana purchases Boeing 767 and Boeing 787 aircrafts, the company said on Friday.

"Purchase of new aircrafts corresponds to the Kazakh President's instruction on including new aircrafts to the aircraft fleet and further development of material and technical base and route network of the national air carrier of Kazakhstan. According to development plans, it is planned to increase the fleet up to 43 aircrafts by 2020," the report says.

Air Astana is Kazakhstan's largest airline, which is the national carrier of the country. Air Astana is a joint venture of Kazakhstan's National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna (51 percent) and Britain's BAE Systems company (49 percent). Today, the Air Astana airline's aircraft fleet consists of 26 aircrafts.
