Kazakh Railway to get rid of 66 affiliated companies

Kazakh national railway company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) starts restructuring activity which envisages separation of its 66 affiliated companies, KTZ reported on Friday.

"The restructuring of KTZ group of companies assets is carried out in accordance with the target program and will reduce the number KTZ affiliated companies from 103 to 37," company's vice-president Ermek Kizatov said.

Moreover, according to Kizatov, 2,229 employees will be dismissed from KTZ Group of companies in near future.

"Restructuring of the main activity will be launched this year," Kizatov said.

Earlier Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered to reduce the number of state enterprises and optimize the structure of state holdings and national companies.
