Azerbaijan reveals over 2,000 violations of tax legislation in January

As a result of measures on operative control of the Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry, violations of tax legislation by 2,235 payers were revealed in January, the ministry’s official website reported on Saturday.

As a result of measures on operative control of the Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry, violations of tax legislation by 2,235 payers were revealed in January, the ministry's official website reported on Saturday.

During the reporting period, 1,315 taxpayers violated cash payment rules, while 285 received foreign currency as means of payment, as well as exchange or purchase and sale in the spheres of trade, public catering and services.

Some 204 taxpayers acting without registration in tax authorities, as well as 497 taxpayers functioning without a special permit in the spheres requires such permission were revealed as a result of the taken measures.

As a result of the operative control of 221 taxpayers, 371 physical entities attracted to work without signing an employment contract with them, were revealed. Some 167 taxpayers carried out passenger traffic without getting distinctive marks.

In order to control the use of excise stamps, 336 goods without proper labeling were revealed in 50 taxpayers.

The official exchange rate is 0.7863 manat to $1 on Feb.12.
