By Saba Agayeva - Trend: Polish Transport Minister Sławomir Nowak will discuss the prospects of developing transport cooperation between the two countries in Azerbaijan this week.

On November 14, Nowak will hold talks with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport. Afterwards, the sides will sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure, the Polish embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend on Tuesday.

According to the embassy, the minister will be accompanied by a delegation of representatives of Polish transport companies who will meet with the management of the Baku Metro, Azerbaijan Railways and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

Azerbaijan is being developed rapidly and this development can be seen in all sectors of the economy. One of important components of the country's economic development is to improve and modernise the transport system and actively participate in the development of transport corridors (Europe -Caucasus -Asia and North -South) and the development of transit potential of the country.

The operations are being actively conducted to develop the road transport infrastructure as well as sea, air and rail transport.
