A group of French car part maker will arrive in Iran on October 5.

Member of the board of directors of the association of Iranian car part makers Mohammadreza Najafimanesh said that Iranian and French car part makers are planned to boost cooperation, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported on October 4.

During a recent visit of French automakers and car part makers to Iran, it was planned that a delegation of French car part makers to travel to the country within the next 10-15 days, he explained.

Negotiations with foreign companies are conducted with an emphasis on capabilities of domestic manufacturers, he said.

A delegation of France's main business lobby group, Medef, comprising about 130 firms, including top companies such as Total and Peugeot, traveled to Tehran September 21 with the aim of encouraging future trade deals.

In the wake of the historic accord reached between Iran and the world powers on Iran's nuclear program, many EU countries have been seeking to deepen their economic ties with Iran.

According to official statistics released by French Foreign Ministry, Iran's imports from France in 2013 fell to $558.22 million as compared to $1.66 billion in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Iran Customs Administration put Iran's non-oil exports to France and import from the country at $31.5 million and $571.2 million, respectively, in the previous calendar year, ended on March 20, 2015.
