The Uzbek State Committee for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition has obtained 52 appeals on unfair competition.

In particular, "Mir Skazok" private enterprise’s appeal regarding the violation of its intellectual property was reviewed. "Bars Klass" LLC is using "TWICS" trademark, which is similar with "TWINS" trademark belonging to "Mir Skazok".

"Mir Skazok" and "Bars Klass" producing confectionery and chocolate products are competitors in the market.

Proceeding from the decision of the Special Commission of the country’s State Committee for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition, an order was issued for Bars Klass to eliminate violations of law. Bars Klass disagreed with this decision and appealed to the court.

According to the court decision, the State Commission’s decision remained in force.

The specialists of the State Committee for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition participated in 1,888 tenders, including 1,604 construction tenders, 71 transport tenders and 213 tenders on procurement of goods and services to prevent unfair competition.
