Azerbaijan exported goods worth $12.5 billion in January-November 2017 that is by 50.4 percent more than in the same period of 2016, according to a report of the country’s State Customs Committee.
The share of state sector in export totaled $7.95 billion, private sector – $4.38 billion, individuals – $170.17 million.
Azerbaijan mainly exported oil and oil products, gas, aluminum and aluminum products, as well as fruits and vegetables in January-November 2017.

During the period, import totaled $7.79 billion, which is slightly more than in January-November 2016. Some $1.01 billion accounted for the state sector share in import operations, and $6.36 billion – for the private sector, $418.46 million – for individuals.
Azerbaijan mainly imported various machines, vehicles, ferrous metals, plastic and pharmaceutical products during the reporting period.

Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations increased by 26.6 percent and amounted to $20.29 billion in January-November 2017, as compared to the same period of 2016. The surplus in the reporting period amounted to $4.71 billion, which is 7.9 times more than in the same period last year.
