President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council Eric Stewart, Turkmen Dovlat Khabarlary state news agency reported Aug. 17.
The meeting was attended by the President of the American companies "OSI Systems, Inc." and "S2 Global" Jonathan Fleming.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of trade and economic partnership and stimulation of investment activity.
The willingness of Turkmenistan to engage in substantive discussion of the participation of the business circles of the US in investment projects and long-term programs aimed at accelerated industrialization of the national economy complex, establishment of high-tech production facilities was confirmed.
The energy, transport and logistics sectors, industry, agriculture, high technology, sports and tourism were mentioned among the topical areas of cooperation.
Another topic of the meeting was the prospect of working in the US for the Turkmen companies, which also show a mutual interest in the comprehensive deepening of fruitful partnership, the agency noted.
