In January-September 2018, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial goods worth 151.2 trillion soums, which is 10.8 percent more compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said in a report.
The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was the increasing production in the manufacturing industry by 8.3 percent, mining and quarrying – by 28.8 percent, in the sphere of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning – by 1.1 percent, water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal – by 25.6 percent.
According to the information, in January-September 2018, growth rate of consumer goods production reached 107.9 percent.
At the same time, the share of consumer goods in the total industrial production amounted to 37.9 percent.
In the total volume of industrial production, small businesses accounted for 34.2-percent share.
During the reporting period, the total number of operating industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan reached 55,120 units.
