By 2022 (until March 21), Iran wants to reduce imports of various industrial products by $10 billion, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Rahmani said, Trend reports via the Young Journalists Club (YJC).

He said that this is possible through the implementation of programs designed to increase Iran’s domestic production.

Rahmani added that simplifying work related to industrial production in Iran is a necessary issue.

“The resumption of operation of 2,000 industrial facilities that have been suspended this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) is on the agenda of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade,” he said.

More than 1,850 industrial facilities resumed their activities last Iranian year (March 21,2018 - March 21,2019), he noted.

Last year (March 21, 2018 – March 21, 2019), Iran imported goods worth $42.6 billion.
