President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received German Ambassador Neithart Hofer-Wissing, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen government.
The diplomat noted that building up long-term full-scale cooperation with Turkmenistan is among the strategic vectors of the foreign policy of Germany and the European Union as a whole, the report said.
The parties reiterated their focus on enhancing interaction.
Among the key areas are the fuel and energy sector, the trade and economic sector, transport, urban planning, the agro-industrial complex and others.
The German companies make a significant contribution to the implementation of long-term projects in Turkmenistan. Among them are companies such as Siemens, Daimler, Claas, Rohde & Schwarz, Dresser-Rand, MAN and Bosch.
