Trend:

Iran's non-oil exports increased 17 percent in past seven months of current Iranian year (began March 21, 2019) to $24.5 billion, said Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.

"The volume of non-oil exports has increased to 80 million tons that indicate 17 percent rise comparing to the same period last Iranian year [began March 21, 2018]," said Hossein Modares Khiabani, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"To expand exports, the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is supporting the modern packaging industries by providing necessary advances," the deputy minister added.

"Imposing seasonal tariffs on some exports goods is normal in every country' they affect the price and both foreign consumer and domestic market. The policy to manage the domestic market requires cohesive planning to prevent interruption in destination markets and meet domestic demands," Khiabani added. "The real basic price of exports should be applied to all items according to Ministry's order."

He went on to say that, considering the limited exports items and the destination countries, Iran is currently sending commercial consultants to these countries.

"Each industrial city should have a trade zone; at the same time, there shall be the exemption for return of foreign currency revenues for some non-oil exports," Khiabani added.
