Iran's industrial goods export increases

TEHRAN, Iran, Jan.28

Trend:

Iran's export of domestic industrial goods has increased by 30 percent in current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) due to rise of production, said Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.

"The industrial and mineral production including steel, vegetable oil, medicine, food, clothing, cement, ceramic and tile has increased while there was a drop in auto production," said Reza Rahmani, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Our most important target in sanction situation was preserving current production and activating production units; most of industrial sectors have surplus production," Rahmani added.

"Neighbor countries have big capacity for our export including dairy market. Iran's export to 15 neighbor countries can return foreign currency revenues," the minister said. "Iran currently shares two percent in neighbor countries' import that includes 50 percent of Iran's non-oil export," the minister added.

"Iran's accession to Eurasian market will increase the demand for our industrial goods, and we have planned to increase Iran's share in next three years from 2 to 4 percent and total value of $48 billion," Rahmani said.

"Due to growth of Iran's domestic production, the import of goods was reduced by $1.2 billion, while we try to increase the volume to $1.5 billion," he added.
