Iran's West Azerbaijan Province increases industrial production, Head of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in West Azerbaijan Province Gholam Reza Babaei told Trend.
"There are productive industrial units in the province, but some became semi-active or were even closed due to financial, economic problems and foreign currency shortage," he said. "However, they returned to production cycle in last Iranian year [started March 21, 2019] thanks to financial aid from agent banks and related organizations."
"For example, Urmia Tractor Manufacturing Company is active in West Azerbaijan Province and it has increased production significantly during current Iranian year [started March 20, 2020]. The company also is expected to unveil new products in the coming days," the organization's head added.
"The manufacturing company has produced more than 1,200 tractors last Iranian year both for domestic and foreign markets," Reza Babaei noted.
"Urmia Tractor Manufacturing Company supplies garden and lawn tractors to the country's agriculture sector; moreover, despite unilateral sanctions against the country, it exports the products to foreign countries," he said.
