Iran discloses number of restored enterprises

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10

The activities of 468 industrial enterprises have been restored in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020), Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Executive Director of the Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Mohsen Salehinia said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The deputy minister said that with the resumption of activities of this number of enterprises, more than 8,000 people were employed.

"The activities of 50 enterprises have been restored in Tehran Province, 46 in Qom Province and 41 in Isfahan Province," he said.

Salehinia noted that currently, there are about 45,000 small and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks. Some 9,500 of them are inactive.

The director stressed that it is planned to restore the activities of 1,500 industrial enterprises in the current Iranian year.

Salehinia said that it is planned to employ 27,000 people with resumption the activities of these industrial enterprises.
