Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor discloses volumes of agricultural products supplied to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26

In the first half of 2020, 465,700 tons of Russian agricultural products were delivered to Georgia, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) told Trend.

According to the source, 80,200 tons of agricultural products were sent from Russia to Georgia in July.

"Mainly wheat and meslin (52,600 tons), corn (7,300 tons), barley (5,000 tons) were supplied to Georgia," the Rosselkhoznadzor noted.

From January through July 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Russia exceeded $702.07 million, which comprises 11.6 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $229.07 million to the Russian market, which is 13 percent of total exports.

Meanwhile, Russian exported products worth $473 million to the Georgian market, which is 11.1 percent of total imports to Georgia.
