Iran to distribute superphosphate fertilizers to support farmers
TEHRAN, Iran, Sept. 14
CEO of Iran`s Agricultural Support Services Company Hamid Rasouli said that following the production of 500,000 tons of superphosphate fertilizer in the country, the company is obliged to purchase and distribute this type of fertilizer to support the domestic production, Trend reports via IRNA.
He also mentioned a memorandum of understanding for the production of phosphate fertilizers was signed between the Agricultural Support Services Company, Bank of Industry and Mine, the producers of phosphate fertilizers and suppliers of phosphate soil.
“In line with the policy of increasing the country's self-reliance in phosphate fertilizer production, it was agreed that with the Bank of Industry and Mines finances the phosphate fertilizer production project,” he said adding that based on this support, the required 500,000 tons of phosphate soil will be delivered to phosphate fertilizer producers.
“The Agricultural Support Services Company is also committed to the guaranteed purchase and distribution of this product,” Rasouli said.
He described the memorandum as a big and fundamental step in the country's self-sufficiency in the production of phosphate.
