Several enterprises launched in industrial parks of Iran's North Khorasan Province

As many as 30 industrial enterprises were put into operation in the industrial parks of the North Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Executive Director of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization’s (ISIPO) branch in North Khorasan Province Siavash Vahdat told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, a total of 441 billion rials (about $10.5 million) was spent on the establishment of these enterprises and about 340 people were employed.

Vahdat added that in addition, 200 new contracts were signed for investment in industrial parks and 63 hectares were handed over to investors.

The director noted that also, the activities of 17 industrial enterprises were restored in the industrial parks of North Khorasan Province in the last Iranian year, and 100 people were employed as a result.

"A number of works was carried out in several industrial parks, including, the water supply of the Bojnurd special economic zone, gas and water supply of Raz and Shahid Mohammadzadeh industrial parks," he said.

Vahdat stressed that furthermore, a total of 35 contracts worth 1 trillion rials (about $23.8 million) in connection with landscaping were signed in a number of industrial parks. And the contracts are being implemented, at present.

Reportedly, there are 16 industrial parks in Iran's North Khorasan Province. In general, 287 enterprises operate in this industrial park. More than 4 trillion rials (about $95.2 million) have been spent on industrial enterprises so far, and more than 4,000 workers are employed.
