Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Switzerland, Cyprus, Afghanistan, and others purchased liquefied gas, polypropylene, aviation kerosene, oil bitumen, diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In addition, in foreign currency, businessmen from the UK purchased gasoline of the brand ESO-93, and businessmen from Russia-polyethylene.

Also, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan bought colorless flat glass, smooth-colored and jacquard terry products, and cotton yarn in foreign currency.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $ 31.2 million.

Transactions were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from Switzerland and the UAE purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 3.8 million Turkmen manat (over $1 million).

In addition, local businessmen purchased cotton fiber and plastic products worth over 63.1 million manat ($17.9 million).

In general, 40 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.

As reported, more than 143 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in March 2021.

During the first week of March, 18 deals were made, during the second – 31, the third – 34, and the fourth - 60 deals.

The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
