There are currently 428 manufacturing enterprises being setting up in Iran's industrial parks, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
The deputy minister stressed that these enterprises cost more than 129 trillion rials (about $3.07 billion).
Rasoulian added that at present, 3,210 manufacturing enterprises in industrial parks are being installed with equipment, and there is a total of 60 percent progress in the installation of equipment.
“In addition, a number of warehouses are being set up in 11,600 enterprises in industrial parks,” he said.
That head noted that according to statistics known by June 27, 2021, a total of 48,600 enterprises operate in Iran's industrial parks. These enterprises employ more than 980,000 people.
According to Rasoulian, 790 contracts on providing areas in industrial parks to investors signed from the beginning of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021) to June 27.
The deputy minister emphasized that 633 new enterprises have been put into operation in Iran's industrial parks from the beginning of the current Iranian year to June 27 and 16,700 people have been provided with jobs.
