Azerbaijan’s import value has grown from January to July 2021, Trend reports on Aug.17 with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, this indicator amounted to $6.3 billion, up by 6.7 percent on annual basis.
In the first seven months of this year, the share of the public sector in the import settled at $525.8 million, which is about 8.35 percent of the total volume, the private sector - $5 billion or 80.19 percent of the total volume. Some $721.6 million or 11.46 percent accounted for individuals.
In general, Azerbaijan has conducted foreign trade operations with 175 partner countries during the reporting period. Some 32,226 individuals and 7,029 legal entities participated in the operations.
The import mainly included mechanisms, equipment, and its spare parts, vehicles, and food products.
