Brazil to open Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce - ambassador

The first step is to open the Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce in Brazil, which will promote mutual understanding, economic, commercial, and financial relations between Iran and Brazil, the Brazilian ambassador to Iran said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

The Brazilian ambassador to Iran, Ludmar González Aguilarento has been invited by the Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce office to attend a meeting with the Chairman of the Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources Committee of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Javad Askari and another Iranian MP Ahmad Naderi.

In addition to trade relations, the ambassador asked the two countries to strengthen political relations.

Referring to the history of relations between the two countries, ambassador Aguilarento emphasized the role of the Iranian private sector in a special relationship with Brazil.

He said that the necessary measures have to be taken to use the capacity of businessmen and the private sector.

Agricultural products make up the majority of the trade between Iran and Brazil. These products consist of corn, soy, press cake, meat, and sugar. Petrochemical products such as urea, bitumen, and petroleum are the main exported goods from Iran to Brazil, according to customs statistics.
