Potato sowing has begun in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz region, Trend reports via the Turkmenistan newspaper.
This year, it’s planned to sow potatoes on 8,800 hectares in the region and harvest 123,200 tons of the crops from there.
As of March 1, onion sowing on 2,200 hectares was completed in the region. It’s planned to harvest 55,000 tons of onion crops.
As previously reported, measures to turn agriculture into a profitable sector of the economy will be taken in Turkmenistan.
