Iran to remove ban on imports from EAEU

TEHRAN, Iran, October 31. The heads of three government branches have approved a bill to annul the ban on imports from Eurasian countries, Trend reports citing ILNA.

The head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman Pak has underlined a bright future between Iran and Eurasian countries adding that commodities items have been set in the free trade agreement list in which 90 percent of tariffs will be reduced to zero.

The Trade Promotion Organization has received the approval from heads of three branches of government for annulling the ban on imports from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), he noted.

Therefore it is predicted that the list of free trade commodities between Iran and Eurasia will be approved by the cabinet members by late November, Peyman Pak pointed out.

The announcement about the mentioned resolution was made in a business meeting between the private sectors of Iran and Russia, the portal of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA).
