Value of Iran's non-oil exports via  Mazandaran Province's customs reaches almost $50M

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. In total, 179,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $47 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Mazandaran Province in the north of the country, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Supervisor of Mazandaran Customs Office Asgar Niknafas said, Trend reports.

According to him, the non-oil exports via the province’s customs for the reporting period decreased by 8 percent in value, while increasing by 3 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.

Niknafas added that the main exported non-oil products were dairy products worth $21 million, rubber materials worth $5 million, cement worth $5 million, various food products worth $3 million and ice cream and soft drinks worth about $2 million dollars. The mentioned goods accounted for 77 percent of the value of total non-oil exports via Mazandaran Province’s customs in 2 months.

The official also pointed out that the goods worth $23.3 million were exported to Iraq, $7.37 million to Russia, $2.28 million to Pakistan, $2.25 million to Turkmenistan and $1.96 million to Kazakhstan through the customs of Mazandaran Province within two months.

Overall, Iran's export of non-oil products amounted to 21 million tons worth $7.51 billion, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023). This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
