BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Iran’s non-oil exports to Georgia increased by 14 percent in value and 18.2 percent in volume during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

Within 6 months, Iran exported about 235,000 tons of non-oil products to Georgia worth approximately $94.9 million, as was reflected in the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In the same period last year, Iran's non-oil exports to Georgia stood at around 199,000 tons worth $83.2 million.

Iran’s main export items to Georgia were agricultural products, steel, various types of pipes, mining minerals, glassware, petrochemical products, etc.

Meanwhile, in the 6th month alone (August 23 through September 23, 2023), Iran exported 37,300 tons of non-oil products worth $16 million to Georgia.

Overall, Iran’s non-oil exports amounted to $24.1 billion and 67.7 million tons in the first half of the current Iranian year, showing a 2.62 percent increase in value and a 29 percent decrease in volume from the same period last year.

Iran’s non-oil exports do not include crude oil, mazut, and white oil, which are subject to US sanctions that prevent Iran from exporting them freely. Therefore, Iran has been focusing on increasing its non-oil exports to cope with the economic pressure.
