Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Azerbaijan State Standardization, Metrology, and Patent Agency has begun establishment of several information centres, the Director of the State Agency, Ramiz Hasanov, reported.
The World Intellectual Property Organization renders assistance to the State Agency in establishment of information centre in intellectual filed.
Moreover, an information centre of ISO is also under establishment. " Azerbaijan accepts all ISO standards, which will be further introduced in enterprises of different fields," Hasanov said.
It is planned to establish an information centre on standardization suggested during the talks held within the framework of Azerbaijan's joining World Trade Organization (WTO), Hasanov noted. The centre will be established on the basis of the Azerbaijani Standardization Institution, which began its activities this year. Such institution was first established in Azerbaijan by the State Standardization, Metrology, and Patent Agency on the basis of former Scientific Research Food Industry Institution by the decree of Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, dating to 25 January 2007.
Zygon Caspian Consalting (ZCC) company has been providing for consulting services in introduction of the system of high-quality management (ISO 9001:2000) to the Institution since May, 2007. Consultations will be offered by the end of 2007.
