The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has completed two-dimensional geophysical research (2D) on land section of the Lokbatan-Puta-Gushkhana, a source from SOCAR said.
"Work on the section has been completed," the source said.
The main purpose of the 2D seismic is to clarify tectonic structure and reservoir sediments lying beneath it. Works on the processing and interpretation of the data is scheduled for October-December.
Studies on the section were started in April. The industrial association Azneft, part of the SOCAR, is the customer work on this section.
