The Technological Designing Center Ltd based in Makhchkala) won a tender announced by Gasprom gas monopolist for designing and research work under the overhaul of passages across motorways of the Mozdok (Russia) - Kazi-Magomed (Azerbaijan) gas pipeline.
The tender was announced in June.
The tender envisages conducting work within the framework of four facilities.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Russian Gazprom signed a contract to buy the Azerbaijani gas in Baku at the end of June. Gas deliveries will be implemented via the Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed pipeline.
The contract for the sale of Azerbaijani gas, which was signed on Monday in Baku between SOCAR and Gazprom, is for five years with a possibility to export at least 500 million cubic meters of gas per year.
By the end of the year, on the gas pipeline linking Azerbaijan and Russia, Kazi-Mammad - Mozdok, works will be carried out for its operation in reverse regime.
SOCAR will produce about 8 billion cubic meters of gas from own fields in 2009.
