The Sangachal Electric Power Plant has generated about 1.4 billion kilowatts/hours of electricity compared to the projected 700 million kilowatts/hours, Azerenergy said in a statement Monday.
In January, the power plants generated 125.5 million kilowatts/hours of electricity. The figure is 5.5 million kilowatts/hours more than the projected figure.
The plant was commissioned in December 2008 and consists of 18 units. The station operates on oil, gas and diesel in passing processes.
