The Turkmen Oil and Gas Industry Ministry will establish an independent department to analyze state industrial investments and technological projects.
A decree was signed earlier today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov pushing the initiative. The document instructs the oil and gas industry and justice ministries to propose amendments to legislation and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers within one month.
The new structure will be created under the Turkmen State Socioeconomic Development Program covering 2011-2030 and Turkmen State Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030.
Turkmenistan is a key regional natural fuel suppliers.
