Kazakhstan, Astana, Sept. 27/Trend, A.Maratov/

Tank battery will be opened at the Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery in Kazakhstan to create reserves of fuels and lubricants and therefore to reduce its deficit in peak seasons, a source from the Refinery's management told Trend.

"We are opening tank farm at the Pavlodar petrochemical plant this Friday to create a fuel reserve with a maximum capacity of 176,000 tons at one time. This measure must reduce fuel deficit in peak seasons, like we are witnessing now. Thus, we create a buffer to reduce sudden change of price," the source said.

The tank farm includes six oil tanks and two tanks for kerosene.

"Launching such a tank farm became possible after finishing major repair of the relevant equipment. 300mln. tenge (more than $2mln.) has been spent on these purpuses from the plant's budget," the source said.
