Stepan Gurzhiy has been appointed director general of Lukoil Uzbekistan, the Lukoil Overseas Company said today.
Previously he headed the Kazakh Company Karakuduk Munay which is a subsidiary of Lukoil Overseas.
Moreover Andrei Varlamov was appointed deputy director general in Lukoil Uzbekistan (processing and logistics) and Oleg Kibizov (legal issues), the report said.
LUKOIL is a national company operating in Uzbekistan since 2001. The representative office of the group was established in Tashkent in early 2003. The production sharing agreement for Kandym - Khauzak - Shady with LUKOIL came into force in 2004.
Production at Khauzak-Shady began in 2007. The maximum level of production on the project as a whole will hit about 12 billion cubic metres of gas per year. Total volume of project investments is estimated at $2 billion.
