Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 8 / Trend M. Moezzi /

Gas production has reached 311 million cubic meters a day at the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) to help meet demand, Shana news agency reported on Wednesday.

Gas production centers and their workers are working around the clock to keep up with the natural gas supply needed to heat Iranian homes as cold weather grips Iran, managing director of the ICOFC Mehdi Fakour said.

Workers are getting less time off and there are multiple shifts to keep production up.

The IOFC supplies 67 percent of the natural gas for homes, industry and exports, producing 325 million cubic meters of it.
