Electricity generation in Turkey in September 2012 increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same month in 2011, amounting to 19.6 billion kilowatt / hour, the Turkish state-owned electricity transmission corporation (TEIAS) reported on its official website on Tuesday.
Consumption of electricity increased by 5 percent in September 2012 compared to September 2011, amounting to 19.9 billion kw / h
During January-September 2012, electricity generation increased by 7.2 percent in Turkey compared to the period of 2011, amounting to 182.3 billion kW / h of electricity.
Import of electricity into Turkey amounted to 4.3 billion kW / h for nine months.
Electricity consumption during this period increased by 7.4 percent compared to the same period of 2011, amounting to 183.7 billion kW / h.
