KazTransGas confirms Kyrgyz Company’s debt for supplies

KazTransGas JSC has confirmed the debt of Kyrgyzgaz to the tune of $6.5 million for gas supplies made in January-February 2013, the company’s press service reported.

KazTransGas JSC has confirmed the debt of Kyrgyzgaz to the tune of $6.5 million for gas supplies made in January-February 2013, the company's press service reported.

'The contract with Kyrgyzgaz was concluded for the period until the end of the first quarter of 2013 at a cost of 2012 - $224 per thousand cubic meters. In the case of Kyrgyzgaz's noncompliance with financial obligations, KazTransGas reserves the right to partially limit the northern part of the Kyrgyz Republic and, or, set penalties for late payment. Total debt of Kyrgyzgaz to KazTransGas for past years is $26.6 million', the statement said.

KazTransGas JSC was established in accordance with a governmental decree of the Kazakh Republic No173 dated February 5, 2000, in order to systematise the work of the gas industry.
In accordance with the Kazakh government decree N914, as of July 5, 2012, KazTransGas JSC is defined as the national operator in the field of gas and gas supply. Companies and organisations dealing with gas production, transportation and sale are included in the KazTransGas company group.
