The acting Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev and the former Minister of Emigration, Integration , National Identity and Co-Development of France Eric Besson discussed the possibilities of attracting investors to the development of bitumen fields in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting the parties discussed the new investment opportunities of Azerbaijan, cooperation with French companies to attract this investment, the country's energy potential, as well as the possibility of cooperation in the field of alternative and renewable energy sources, spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Energy Azer Mensimli told Trend on Tuesday.
France's ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Monnier also attended the meeting.
Natig Aliyev also met with Canada's ambassador to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan John Holmes on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the possibilities of student exchange, training of personnel and the exchange of experience were discussed. Aliyev emphasized the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the relevant structures on the mentioned issue.
