The Kenar oil storage and shipment facility located near the city of Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan is equipped with a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and is linked to the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries by the network of pipelines, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said in a report.

A new automated overpass has been commissioned at the oil storage facility, according to the report.

This will make it possible to significantly increase the capacity of the oil terminal. The new overpass allows loading 3,850 million tons of oil products per year, including 1.8 million tons of gasoline, into tanks and transporting them by rail.

The commissioning was carried out by specialists of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern with the participation of the Dutch company Krohne Oil & Gas B.V.
