Westport Trading Europe Limited company is developing a number of projects for Turkmenistan’s industrial sector, Trend reports with reference to Online Newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan.

The mentioned projects are developing taking into account environmental concerns, the report says.

According to the director of the company's branch in Turkmenistan Allaberdy Ilyasov, WTL has created oil refining equipment of new generation in the country.

“One of the most important ways to prevent air pollution is to improve technological processes. In addition, oil refineries are equipped with purification systems,” Ilyasov said.

The company has started the construction of a field of delayed coking and tar deasphalting in Turkmenistan. Thus, the delayed coking unit is designed for processing all heavy residues at the plant into more valuable light petroleum products and electrode coke.

In general, environmental protection is provided in a number of industries related to both oil production and its transportation, processing and use, in Turkmenistan.
